After spending the first 20 years of my career working at various levels in WCM accredited environments due to my perpetual interest in how things are made and how they could be made better, I found I’d gained an invaluable understanding of people. What makes people tick, what motivates them and what they can really achieve with a little training, support and belief in their abilities.

Having achieved all of my goals in this environment (and fast approaching a big birthday !!) I took an opportunity to move into recruitment which allowed me to focus more on peoples’ perspectives and how the choices they made in their careers really would shape their futures. Initially operating in the global building services engineering sector, within just a few months I knew I had found my true vocation in helping others.

It is very true to say that in recruitment no two days are the same as no two people are the same and this is what I love. One day you can be advising clients on a hire or equipping candidates with all they need to (hopefully) succeed in an interview. The next you might be assisting with the logistics of a family relocation from one continent to another and all the things to consider in such a move. Alternatively you may just need to be a person’s soundboard or that ear of reason and understanding.

Having built up a strong network of international contacts across a range of sectors (Lubricants & Chemicals, Engineering, Energy), enjoyed continued success and personal fulfilment from working in the UK, Europe, Middle East and APAC regions and had the pleasure of working with some of the best in the business, I’m now taking all the best bits of this and leaving behind the unnecessary stuff to enable the Choice Associates team to provide a genuinely personable approach and exemplary levels of service to all clients and candidates.
